Tampa Area's Fantastic Beaches

Honeymoon Island Beach is great for sunbathing, shelling, fishing and peaceful walks on baking powder fine white sand.
Fort DeSoto's North Beach boast's the award for best beach of 2005. We noted it is well deserved. Fort DeSoto also provides a beautiful, tropical campground with an environment that we would imagine is like that of "old Florida", before massive development took it's toll on waterfront communities.

Fort DeSoto wildlife and Molly. The raccoons are cute, a bit too human-friendly, and very pervasive in the picnic area. 8 or more in one group converged upon us as we drove through slowly in our car.
