Paddling Quail Creek Reservoir, Hurricane, UT

Lynette enjoys views from the front seat, as we paddle our Old Town canoe on Quail Creek Reservoir, surrounded by Southern Utah's beautiful mountainous terrain. The reservoir is home to large mouth bass, rainbow trout, black crappie, blue gill and catfish.

As the morning inched toward the heat of the day, fisherman launched boats ranging from Walmart inflatables to fiberglass fishing boats with all the bells and whistles, all hoping to land a few.

For us, this was just an exploratory day, a day to enjoy the magnificent scenery of this part of our country and the pleasure of finally getting back on the water. Perhaps we'll test our luck at fishing next time around.
