Rocky Mountain Low: The Ups and Downs of RVing (5/23/06)

Our 40 foot Mountain Aire decided it needed a break after apparently mastering the ups and downs of Vail and Loveland Passes. We had almost reached our intended destination South of Denver, when the engine heat gage spiked. We pulled onto an off ramp from C-470 South onto 285, noted pink fluid leaking from the side of the rig and arranged for a tow. We enjoyed the excitement of traffic zipping by as we prayed no one would hit us for about 4-1/2 hours. Then we followed as our precious home was towed to Cummins Rocky Mountain for service. What lengths some RVers will go to obtain "free camping". Fortunately, we're still under warranty.
